Two products containing CBD do not necessarily fall under the same rules. In Switzerland, classification depends in particular on their presentation and intended use.
Read the intended use
Swissmedic publishes an overview prepared with the competent authorities. It distinguishes different product categories. The presence of CBD alone does not make a product an authorised medicine.
Practical checks
Before buying, examine the composition, indicated use, warnings and manufacturer identification. A vague presentation or a promise of a cure should prompt you to ask for more information.
An oil is not automatically an e-liquid
Do not use a product for a purpose other than its declared use. “CBD” does not mean an oil can be put in a vaping device. Check the instructions and intended purpose.
